Ždiar is a typical Goral village with its typical traditions, customs, folklore and
culture with more than 1,300 inhabitants. With its natural scenery, it is a
popular location for tourism and relaxation.
The whole ridge with the highest peak Ždiarska Vidla (2142 m.a.s.) and Havran
(2152 m.a.s) can be seen directly from the terrace. The center of the village is a
close proximity to the restaurants, store, post office, ATM and just a few
meters from the cottage you can take a walk to the woods and meadows,
covered by medicinal herbs, mushrooms and colorful flowers.
In summer the surrounding area offers countless marked hiking and biking
trails in the Belianske and HighTatras. If you are keen for mountain biking
downhill you may visit the Bike park Bachledova Dolina. The bike trail in
Spisska Bela offers a convenient trail for families with kids. Ždiar attracts
lovers of winter sports, the slopes of the valley Belianske Tatras and Spišská
Magura is a paradise for skiers, cross country skiing and ski alpinism.
Ski center Bachledova Dolina has bob-sledge, snow tubing and rafting, ski
center Strednica, Bachledova Dolina, Ski Deny, ski center Monkova Dolina,
Strachan Ski center, and approximately 10 km on the Polish border the high
quality ski center Jurgow Bialka Tatrzanska -Kotelnica .....
